Wisdom

Reading these words written by a very wise woman, in my mind, leaves no room for question.

"Here's the deal. You can't have it both ways. You can't pick a candidate that is pro-abortion that you know will choose at least 2 pro-abortion supreme court justices if you are against abortion. We allow 4000 babies every day to be killed in the U. S.. Just over 4100 soldiers have been killed in the Iraq war in 6 years. How long do you think a nation will go unjudged that allows this? Are you aware of the disproportionate number of African-American babies that are killed? Do you realize that your tax dollars will pay for it under his administration? Do you realize it is a money making enterprise? Wasn't slavery tolerated because it increased profits? Is slavery more offensive than killing 1 1/2 million infants a year? By sucking their body parts out, piece by piece? What kind of people have we become that we are numb to this? As a former labor nurse, let me assure you, the baby IS a baby."

Click here to read all of her amazing words. It will stop you in your tracks and really make you think.

Wow, Rebekah! This is such a powerful post. So many people are completely clueless about abortion. Often times, their morals and values are so distorted that they lose sight of how many innocent lives are lost.

I am fearful for the future of our great nation, but pray that I am wrong about him. None of us want the worst for our country, contrary to what some liberals believe right now.

Thank you for posting this!!!

Please realize that pro-choice does not automatically equal "pro-abortion".

The sad fact is that abortions have been happening since the beginning of time and will continue to happen until the end of time. I hate it, but its true.

The methods in which these abortions have been performed are heinous and often lead to permanent injury or death to the mother. Sometimes these methods aren't successful and lead to disfigured and disabled babies. Unwanted babies that more often than not will end up in a dumpster or worse.

"Pro-choice" simply means letting the mother deal with her pregnancy HERSELF, seeking the counsel of her family (if she has one) and God.

"Pro-choice" simply means, to me, that she has the option to have a procedure done by a doctor, rather than stabbing a bent coat hanger in her own cervix or resorting to a back alley and having the procedure done on a lawn chair.

Murder will always happen.
Abortions will always happen.
It is just the sad truth of human nature.

As much as you or I want it to happen, there will never be an end to unwanted pregnancy. The best thing to do is to educate and try to prevent pregnancy in the first place.

As Christians, we just have to pray that the women who find themselves in this situation turn to God for guidance and choose options such as adoption.

Personally, I would never get an abortion. But the fact that the government can tell me what to do with my body, that it is no longer subjected solely to mine and God's jurisdiction, scares me. Until someone finds themselves in that situation, the truth is that they have no room to judge.

Like so many issues facing this nation, abortion will never be black and white.

Dear anonymous,

I wish you did not feel like you had to comment as anonymous. I am so glad to love a God who gives me the freedom to have free will and free thinking.

I am not closed minded. I am not at all naive to the fact that, whether or not it is legalized, abortion will take place. However, if you reference the Bible "You shall not murder..." is clearly written and the fact that our country is legalizing this act is telling people that murdering is permissible.

Why then is speeding illegal, taking drugs illegal, drinking before 21 illegal, murdering, stealing.....the list goes on and on...and murdering a child is left out of this list? As for your point on the government dictating on what women should and shouldn’t do with their bodies, all of the above limit me on what I can do with my body…all of them. The government does not seem to give me a choice on any of those “crimes”.

There are no shades of gray and truth will always prevail. There is, however, forgiveness and love extended and no judgment made in every abortion circumstance, which is the amazing heart of Jesus.

"no room to judge" is a cop-out. life is about judging right and wrong and my bible says a life is precious.just because something is going to happen anyway doesn't mean it should be condoned.

if we can't even speak for the unborn, will we then decide those with disabilities are a burden? just like how they killed terry shiavo when her mom and dad wanted to take care of her? i'm disabled, can't work, therefore, i'm a burden. does that make me any less a human being?

have the guts to say i'm pro-abortion. the gov't is not telling you what to do with your body, you already make that decision. birth control pills are 98 percent effective. it's just nonsense that we need to kill kids cause they'll end up in dumpsters. bad logic. god says it, abide in it.
